Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Production Associate for the 1st shift to fabricate components for final window assembly. You'll work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks and exposure to lifting.

Candidates should be able to read work orders, use measuring tools, and perform skilled assembly tasks. The role includes training new employees and following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the US.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units.
• May assist in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials or windows.
• Operate hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers as directed.
• Read and follow work orders, labels and schedules; inspect for defects.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.

Weekly Pay Offered

Base Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

1st Shift:Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

• Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing.
• Preferably with experience reading a tape measure.
