Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a manufacturing worker in Rocky Mount, NC to perform mass production of windows, doors, and glass units. The job includes a training period with early shifts and requires physical stamina to stand for long periods and to lift up to 50 pounds.

Applicants should be at least 18, authorized to work in the US, and able to pass a background check and drug test. Prior manufacturing and tape-measure-reading experience are preferred.

• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.

Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour

Monday - Friday 7am-3pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Training period require working Monday through Friday 6a - 6p and could last up to 6 weeks approximately
• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
• Must be authorized to work in the US
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing
• Preferably with experience reading a tape measure
