Job description

Join to apply for the Glass Assembly Machine Operator role at Subzero Engineering.

We are searching for an experienced Glass Assembly Machine Operator at our Irving, TX facility.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

1. Read/measure glass accurately with tape measure.
2. Check glass quality and identify basic glass defects.
3. Place glass into bungees racks and metal A-frames according to customer specifications.
4. Reject defective glass accurately from bungees and squeeze racks.
5. Properly close finished orders.
6. Read and complete unload paperwork (run list, packing maps).
7. Set up customer orders properly.
8. Communicate with Q.C. and shift lead regarding quality or breakage issues.
9. Ensure the line does not back up with glass.
10. Maintain a high sense of urgency.
11. Assist in unloading packer when required, depending on production needs.

Required Qualifications

1. Reliability.
2. Ability to pass physical and aptitude tests, including basic math, fractions, tape measure literacy, and reading comprehension.
3. Experience with manufacturing/production, forklift, or overhead crane is a plus.
4. Willingness to work overtime and weekends if needed.
5. Maintain and wear all required PPE.
6. Attend all safety meetings.
7. Participate in pre-shift warm-up exercises.
8. Hourly, Non-Exempt position.
9. Hourly wage.
