Are you an experienced accounting professional with a passion for financial analysis and management? Our dynamic and rapidly growing company is seeking a GL Accounting Manager to join our Accounting + Finance team. This exciting role offers the opportunity to lead and manage the General Ledger (GL) accounting functions and provide strategic financial consulting to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a minimum of 5 years of experience, and a proven track record of managing month-end close processes and journal entries.

Responsibilities

1. Overseeing the operations of the general ledger system, including data entry, validation, and generation of financial statements.
2. Managing the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
3. Preparing and reviewing journal entries and reconciliations, maintaining the integrity of financial records.
4. Providing financial consulting services to clients, advising on best practices in financial management and accounting procedures.
5. Leading and mentoring a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
6. Collaborating with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance with regulatory standards.
7. Implementing and maintaining internal controls for financial operations to ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
8. Providing financial analysis and preparing financial reports for senior management to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or MBA is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, with demonstrated experience in managing the general ledger, month-end close, and journal entries.
3. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
4. Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team of accounting professionals.
5. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide financial advice based on findings.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to a non-financial audience.
7. High proficiency in accounting software, MS Excel, and other financial management tools.
8. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
9. Demonstrated integrity, ethical standards, and understanding of confidentiality.
