Job summary

NISC is seeking a Software Development Team Lead for the Mapping & Staking product and cloud platform. You will guide an agile team, manage GIS data used across our enterprise applications, and mentor engineers to deliver reliable map-based solutions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional partners, drive high-quality SDLC practices, and use AI tools to boost productivity while advancing technical direction and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in software development, requirements, or applicable technical areas.
• 3+ years in a technical leadership or supervisory role.
• Experience with GIS, ESRI or ArcGIS is preferred.
• Experience with Java, C#, Angular/JavaScript, Spring Boot.
• Experience with cloud technologies/architectures, preferably AWS.
• Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Rundeck.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership for development efforts and productivity of the engineering team.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues and coach direct reports.
• Ensure quality standards and apply SDLC best practices.
• Provide progress reports to management and collaborate across departments.
• Commit and test production code and leverage AI tools to enhance productivity.
• Identify growth opportunities and drive process improvements within the team.
