The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) is recruiting for GIS Analyst 1 and an underfill for a GIS Analyst 2 in Carson City, Nevada. Under general supervision, this position is responsible for maintaining and upgrading Enterprise GIS software, geodatabases, services, and web applications for the divisions and the organization.

The position provides overall management support and technical assistance to GIS users, including troubleshooting, problem identification, and issue resolution.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in geographic information systems or closely related field plus 1 year GIS experience; OR Associate's degree plus 2 years GIS experience; OR high school diploma or equivalent plus 3 years GIS experience.
• Experience with GIS/GPS data collection, analysis and validation; GIS software development and cartographic design.
• Knowledge of enterprise GIS concepts, server administration and multi-user GIS workflows.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and upgrade Enterprise GIS software, geodatabases, services, and web applications.
• Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting to GIS users.
• Coordinate GIS efforts to maximize the value of digital data and resources.
• Develop and maintain statewide GIS data resources and web maps.
• Support GIS data management, data quality, and security procedures.
