Job summary

Nevada Department of Transportation is seeking an experienced GIS Developer to design, develop, administer, and support custom GIS applications using ArcGIS Enterprise 11.x and above. This role will deliver tailored geospatial solutions for internal NDOT business units, such as roadway systems, maintenance operations, traffic systems, and traffic safety.

You’ll be a key technical resource supporting enterprise GIS modernization efforts, leveraging ArcGIS Enterprise 11.x capabilities, including

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in GIS, CS, or related field.
3+ years of GIS development experience; 1–2 years with ArcGIS Enterprise 11.x+.
Proficiency with ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGIS Server, and Portal.
Experience administering ArcGIS Enterprise infrastructure and federated servers.
Strong collaboration with engineers, planners, and IT teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy custom web GIS apps using ArcGIS Enterprise components.
Administer ArcGIS Enterprise infrastructure including Portal and Server.
Create tools for roadway, maintenance, traffic, and project visualization.
Publish and automate GIS services and workflows with ArcPy and Python.
Collaborate with NDOT stakeholders to gather requirements.
Monitor performance and maintain security configurations.
