Job summary

Proviso Township High Schools District 209 is seeking a Girls Softball- Assistant Coach at Proviso West High School. This stipend position supports the Head Coach in planning, implementing, and evaluating all facets of the softball program, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and development-focused environment for student-athletes.

Valid teaching certificate or IHSA-certified coaching credentials.
CPR/AED certification and concussion safety training required.
Background check and fingerprinting clearance on file.
Title IX training and compliance with IHSA regulations.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Head Coach to plan drills, practices, and conditioning.
Provide feedback on technique, effort, and sportsmanship.
Assist with game-day logistics, equipment, and scorekeeping.
Maintain equipment inventory and coordinate repairs.
Ensure IHSA rules and safety protocols are followed.
