Proviso Township High Schools District 209 seeks a Girls Soccer-Assistant Coach (Sophomore) to support the Head Coach in planning, implementing, and evaluating a competitive program. The role emphasizes safe, inclusive student-athlete development under Athletic Director supervision.

Responsibilities include drills, conditioning, feedback, equipment management, and adherence to IHSA rules. A valid Illinois teaching certificate or approved certifications are required; the position is stipend-based.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois certificate or IHSA certifications required by IHSA rules.
• CPR/AED certification compliance as per state law.
• IHSA concussion awareness training completed.
• Background check and fingerprinting clearance per district policy.
• Title IX training completion for compliance.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with Head Coach to design drills, practices, and conditioning.
• Provide individualized feedback on technique, effort, and sportsmanship.
• Assist with game-day logistics including equipment setup and scorekeeping.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and coordinate repairs.
• Ensure adherence to IHSA rules, safety protocols, and eligibility tracking.
• Support documentation for physicals and academic clearances.
• Engage with students, parents, staff, and the community in a positive manner.
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and postseason tasks.
• Assist with schedule development and travel logistics.
• Support budget tracking and equipment orders.
