Job summary

GLOUCESTER COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS is seeking a seasonal basketball program assistant to help teach basketball skills and support coaching activities. The role emphasizes knowledge and experience in basketball instruction and assisting in practice sessions.

Applicants must complete onboarding requirements, obtain CPR/First Aid certification, attend concussion training, and pass background checks before the first day of employment. A seasonal supplement is paid in March.

• Supplement in the amount of $2,860 for the season
• Supplement is paid in March
• Knowledge of, experience in, and ability to assist in teaching the skills of Basketball
• Cover and resume optional, but preferred, and highly recommended
• Must hold or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification
• Must attend concussion training
• Satisfactory completion of all onboarding requirements prior to first day of employment, including, but not limited to:
• Documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.
• Virginia State Police/FBI criminal history background check
• Virginia Department of Social Services background check
• Tuberculosis test/screening completed within the last 12 months
• "Child Abuse and Neglect" training certificate
