Job summary

Gloucester County Public Schools is seeking a season-long basketball supplement recipient to assist in teaching basketball skills and support coaching efforts. This role emphasizes mentoring student-athletes and contributing to practice sessions and skill development.

The position requires CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it, attendance at concussion training, and completion of onboarding and background checks before the first day.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basketball coaching and ability to assist in teaching basketball skills.
• Cover letter and resume optional, but preferred.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
• Must attend concussion training.
• Onboarding requirements prior to first day, including eligibility documents and background checks.
• TB test within last 12 months; Child Abuse and Neglect training certificate required.

Job description

• 1. Supplement in the amount of $1,440 for the season,
• 2. Supplement is paid in March
• 3. Knowledge of, experience in, and ability to assist in teaching the skills of Basketball
• 4. Cover and resume optional, but preferred, and highly recommended
• 5. Must hold or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification
• 6. Must attend concussion training
• 7. Satisfactory completion of all onboarding requirements prior to first day of employment, including, but not limited to:

• Documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.
• Virginia State Police/FBI criminal history background check
• Virginia Department of Social Services background check
• Tuberculosis test/screening completed within the last 12 months
• \"Child Abuse and Neglect\" training certificate
