Job summary

Gloucester County Public Schools seeks a seasonal basketball assistant to support coaching staff during the varsity season and help run practice sessions. You will assist in teaching basketball skills, promote safety, and help with program activities.

Applicants should have knowledge of basketball coaching, attend concussion training, and obtain CPR/First Aid certification if not already held. All onboarding requirements, including background checks, must be completed prior to the first day of

Job description

1. Supplement in the amount of $2,200 for the season,
2. Supplement is paid in March
3. Knowledge of, experience in, and ability to assist in teaching the skills of Basketball
4. Cover and resume optional, but preferred, and highly recommended
5. Must hold or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification
6. Must attend concussion training
7. Satisfactory completion of all onboarding requirements prior to first day of employment, including, but not limited to:
   • Documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.
   • Virginia State Police/FBI criminal history background check
   • Virginia Department of Social Services background check
   • Tuberculosis test/screening completed within the last 12 months
   • "Child Abuse and Neglect" training certificate
