Job summary

GLOUCESTER COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS seeks an assistant to support basketball coaching for the season. A stipend of $2,200 is provided, paid in March, to help cover coaching duties and related responsibilities.

Candidates must be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification and complete concussion training, plus all onboarding steps including eligibility verification, background checks, and TB screening prior to the first day of employment.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
• Must attend concussion training.
• Satisfactory completion of onboarding requirements prior to first day of employment, including eligibility for employment in the U.S.
• Virginia police/FBI criminal history background checks and child abuse and neglect training

Responsibilities

• Assist in teaching basketball skills to players.
• Support season activities and follow program guidelines.
• Complete onboarding steps and background checks prior to start date.

• Knowledge of, experience in, and ability to assist in teaching the skills of Basketball
• Cover and resume optional, but preferred, and highly recommended
• Must hold or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification
• Must attend concussion training
• Satisfactory completion of all onboarding requirements prior to first day of employment, including, but not limited to:
• Documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.
• Virginia State Police/FBI criminal history background check
• Virginia Department of Social Services background check
• Tuberculosis test/screening completed within the last 12 months
• "Child Abuse and Neglect" training certificate
