Job summary

The coach will supervise staff, collaborate with the athletic director and principals, manage schedules, safety, and equipment, and promote character development and community engagement through sports.

Qualifications

• Has the ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport. (Major sports)
• The head coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport

Responsibilities

• Instruct athletes in fundamental skills, strategy and physical training.
• Mentor students to develop character traits such as trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.
• Assist athletic director with scheduling, transportation and event coordination.
• Supervise and train staff of coaches and assistants, and evaluate staff performance.
• Manage budgeting, equipment, facilities and safety for the program.
• Promote the sport within the school and community through outreach and media.
