Recovery Assistant-Residential Program (Adult)
Gilead Community Services is seeking an attentive and recovery-oriented Recovery Assistant to join our multi-disciplinary team in our Mental Health Intensives (MHI) program for women.
About the position:
The Recovery Assistant for Gilead’s Middletown area adult s Mental Health Intensive program works Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (32 hours per week)providing coaching, mentoring, advocacy, educational, and supportive services in a program serving women with major mental illness, co-occurring substance use disorders and histories of significant trauma. The individual in this role also performs or assists with household chores and provides teaching and training in areas such as money management, daily living skills, and the development of vocational skills. Applicants with no experience and interested in entering the mental healthcare or direct-care field, or individuals seeking a career change are encouraged to apply to this position.
This is a union position and pays $18.89 per hour.
