Gilead Community Services Inc. in Clinton, CT seeks a Residential Support Worker for the Clinton area to work awake overnights (Thu–Sat, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM), 24 hours weekly.
The role provides coaching, mentoring, advocacy, and supportive services for adults with mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders, including teaching daily living skills. Qualifications include a high school diploma; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
The Residential Support Worker for Gilead’s Clinton area adult residential/supported apartment program works Thursday, Friday, Saturday 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, (24 hours per week)providing coaching, mentoring, advocacy, and supportive services in a program serving adults with major mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders. The position is an awake overnight position. The individual in this role also performs or assists with household chores and provides teaching and training in areas such as money management and daily living skills, providing prompts as necessary. Applicants with no experience and interested in entering the mental healthcare or direct-care field, or individuals seeking a career change are encouraged to apply to this position.
This is a union position and pays $18.89per hour. The compensation also includes a $1,500/year stipend added to the base pay over 26 pay periods.
