Job summary

Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley is seeking a Gift Shop Coordinator to manage daily operations, merchandising, and volunteer coordination at our Tri-Valley location. The role focuses on maintaining product displays, stock control, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include training volunteers, overseeing POS transactions, and collaborating with staff to uphold store standards. A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in retail/hospitality with supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of retail experience in a high-end, fast-paced retail or hospitality environment, including at least one year in a leadership or supervisory capacity, or equivalent relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily operations of the gift shop.
  • Maintain merchandising standards and restock displays.
  • Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing merchandise.
  • Monitor stock levels and notify management of replenishment needs.
  • Train volunteers on gift shop operations and merchandising procedures.
  • Operate and oversee the POS system, including sales transactions and cash handling.
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer questions or concerns.
  • Manage Gift Shop volunteer staff and maintain records in volunteer software.
