Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Gift Shop Inventory Coordinator to create, update, and maintain vendor data, purchase orders, and store inventory across multiple locations. You will manage descriptions, costs, retail prices, and quantities, aiming to minimize overhead with just-in-time purchasing while supporting sales and gross margin goals.

The role requires strong customer service, analytical skills, and the ability to work at four store locations with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Certificate, GED, or equivalent training or experience required.
• Associates/Bachelors Degree preferred or a minimum of 5 years retail experience with at least 2 years handling inventory control systems.
• Excellent customer service, critical thinking, organizational, problem solving and communication skills required – verbal and written.
• Proficient analytical and computer skills required.
• Typing skills of 55 wpm required.
• Able to prioritize and adapt to deadline changes while working with diverse population in a fast-paced environment.
• Travel between four stores and flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining vendor information, purchase orders, and inventory adjustments.
• Provide merchandise descriptions, cost, retail price and quantities accurate across assigned stores in the inventory system while reducing inventory overhead through purchasing just-in-time inventory.
• Increase sales by making timely orders in response to current sales trends following Buyer guidelines.
• Involved in annual inventory of stores and adjustments due to any inaccuracies or discrepancies.
• Overall support of Gift Shop sales, gross margin, and turnover objectives.
• Position is critical to the overall success of retail store operations (i.e. BHM, WK, MCI GiftShop and Boutique, etc).
• Estimated pay range is $20.02/hr - $25.43/hr based on experience.
