Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Retail Inventory Coordinator to manage vendor data, POs, and inventory adjustments for multiple store locations. You will ensure accurate merchandise descriptions, costs, prices and quantities across the system, while reducing overhead through just-in-time purchasing.

Responsibilities include timely ordering, annual inventories, and supporting overall Gift Shop sales and margins.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associates/Bachelors degree preferred or 5 years retail experience with 2 years in inventory control.
• Excellent customer service, critical thinking, organizational and communication skills.
• Typing speed of 55 words per minute is required.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain vendor information, purchase orders, and inventory adjustments in the internal system.
• Provide merchandise description, cost, retail price, and quantities across stores.
• Place timely orders to respond to current sales trends following Buyer guidelines.
• Participate in annual store inventory and adjust discrepancies; support Gift Shop operations.

Description

Responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining accurately all vendor information, purchase orders, and inventory adjustments for assigned retail stores within the internal inventory system. Provides merchandise description, cost, retail price and quantities accurate across assigned stores in the inventory system while reducing inventory overhead through purchasing just-in-time inventory. Increase sales by making timely orders in response to current sales trends following Buyer guidelines. Involved in annual inventory of stores and adjustments due to any inaccuracies or discrepancies. Overall support of Gift Shop sales, gross margin, and turnover objectives. Position is critical to the overall success of retail store operations (i.e. BHM, WK, MCI GiftShop and Boutique, etc). Estimated pay range is $20.02/hr - $25.43/hr based on experience.

Qualifications

Degrees:

• High School Diploma, Certificate, GED, training or experience required

Additional Qualifications

• Associates/Bachelors Degree preferred or a minimum of 5 years retail experience in a department or specialty store environment with at least 2 years handling inventory control system
• Excellent customer service, critical thinking, organizational, problem solving and communication skills required - verbal and written
• Proficient analytical and computer skills required
• Typing skills of 55wpm required
• Able to prioritize and adapt to deadline changes while working with diverse population in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work independently and efficiently under pressure
• Traveling required between four stores and work with flexible schedule based on department needs
