Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin is hiring for a GI unit support role within the Gastrointestinal Services department. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a schedule of 8- and 10-hour shifts four days per week and on-call coverage during weeknights, weekends, and holidays as rotated.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care activities under RN/physician supervision, including intraprocedural support and specimen handling.
• Supports team with safety initiatives and prepares procedure rooms and equipment as specified.
• Performs high-level disinfection and reprocessing of equipment and scopes.
• Maintains equipment by calibration, operation, and preventative maintenance per policy.
• Documents procedures, images, videos and charges using endoscope and ultrasound systems.
• Manages unit inventory, stocks supplies, and handles clerical duties such as phones, filing, data entry and scheduling.
• Assists with patient positioning, lifting, and transportation per age-specific needs.
