Job summary

Gundersen Health System seeks a GI Therapeutic Technician to support GI procedures and treatments. You will prepare patients, assist physicians during endoscopic procedures, and ensure all equipment is sterilized and functioning properly.

The role involves 0.7 FTE with 56 hours bi-weekly, rotating 8- to 9-hour day shifts, and call obligations once a week and every fifth weekend depending on staffing.

Qualifications

Two years of health care experience in an Endoscopy Tech role or Surgical Tech role.
High School Diploma or equivalency.
Completion of one of the following programs with current certification or license: Wisconsin CNA, EMT-B, CST, CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA/NRCMA.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in state of practice.
Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (BLS) from AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

Assist in GI procedures and GI treatments.
Prepare patients for procedures and position them as needed.
Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures.
Ensure endoscopy equipment is properly sterilized and functioning.
