Job summary
Endeavor Health is seeking a GI Tech in Evanston, IL. This full-time position operates from 6:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday rotations and on-call duties that include nights and weekends.
The role supports the RN and physician in GI procedures, handles equipment setup, and ensures proper care delivery. A background as a Patient Care Tech or Nursing/Medical Assistant is preferred, with CPR/BLS certification, basic physiology knowledge, and vitals-taking ability.
Qualifications
- Experience as Patient Care Tech, Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant highly preferred.
- CPR/BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy & medical terminology; basic computer experience; ability to take vitals and perform CPR.
Responsibilities
- Assist under the direction of the RN in the established plan of care.
- Assist physician and RN during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Respond to emergency situations.
- Responsible for procedure setup, supply and equipment maintenance, and processing/reprocessing of endoscopes.
- Meet on-call criteria and float to other GI Lab locations as needed.
