Job summary

Endeavor Health in Glenview, IL is seeking a GI Technician to support endoscopy procedures under RN direction. The role includes assisting with care plans, preparing for diagnostics and therapies, and responding to emergencies on site.

The position requires knowledge of physiology and medical terms, CPR/BLS certification, and basic computer skills. Expect on-call rotations and potential float to other GI Lab locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Patient Care Tech, Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant highly preferred.
• CPR BLS issued by the American Heart Association.
• Basic knowledge of physiology, anatomy & medical terminology required.
• Basic computer experience.
• Ability to take vitals and perform CPR.

Responsibilities

• Assist under the direction of the RN, in the implementation of the established plan of care.
• Assist the physician and the RN during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Respond to emergency situations.
• Responsible for procedure set-up, supply and equipment maintenance, processing and reprocessing of endoscopes and other duties as assigned.
