Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a GI Tech in Glenview, IL. The role supports the RN and physician during procedures and emergencies, with on-call rotations and on-site responsibilities in a busy GI lab.

The position offers a $7,500 sign-on bonus with 1 year of Endoscopy/GI experience. Working hours are 6:30am–5:30pm, Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays and on-call nights/weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Patient Care Tech, Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant preferred.
• CPR BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist under RN direction with planned care implementation.
• Assist physician and RN during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Respond to emergency situations.
• Set up procedures, maintain supplies/equipment, process endoscopes.
• Float to other GI Lab locations as needed.

Hourly Pay Range:

$20.69 - $30.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Sign-On Bonus:$7500 with 1 yr Endo/GI experience (parameters apply)
• Position: GI Tech
• Location: Glenview, IL
• Full Time
• Hours:6:30am to 5:30pm M-F - Occasional Sat rotation- On Call Rotation (including nights/wkends)

What you will do:

• Assist under the direction of the RN, in the implementation of the established plan of care.
• Assist the physician and the RN during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Respond to emergency situations.
• Responsible for procedure set-up, supply and equipment maintenance, processing and reprocessing of endoscopes and other duties as assigned.
• Responsible for meeting on-call criteria as defined by the department. The employee is expected to float to other GI Lab locations.

What you will need:

• Education:
  • Experience as a Patient Care Tech, Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant highly preferred
• Certification:
  • CPR BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience:
  • Basic knowledge of physiology, anatomy& medical terminology required
  • Basic computer experience
  • Ability to take vitals and perform CPR
