Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a GI Tech in Highland Park, IL, to support RNs and physicians in GI procedures. You will assist with plan of care implementation, prepare for procedures, and help with equipment maintenance.

The role requires on-call and potential float to other GI Lab locations. Qualifications include experience as a Patient Care Tech or Nursing/Medical Assistant, CPR BLS certification, and knowledge of physiology and anatomy.

Qualifications

Experience as Patient Care Tech, Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant is highly preferred.
CPR BLS certification is required.
Basic knowledge of physiology, anatomy and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

Assist under the direction of the RN, in the implementation of the established plan of care.
Assist the physician and the RN during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Respond to emergency situations.
Responsible for procedure set-up, supply and equipment maintenance, processing and reprocessing of endoscopes and other duties as assigned.
Responsible for meeting on-call criteria and floating to other GI Lab locations.
