Job summary

Endeavor Health is hiring a GI Tech in Highland Park, IL, with the ability to float to Evanston, Glenview and Skokie locations. Full-time shift from 8am to 5:30pm, with occasional Saturdays and on-call duties including nights and holidays.

You will assist under RN direction, support physicians during procedures, respond to emergencies, and ensure proper setup and reprocessing of endoscopes while floating to other GI Lab sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Patient Care Tech, Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant highly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of physiology, anatomy & medical terminology required.
• Basic computer experience.
• Ability to take vitals and perform CPR.

Responsibilities

• Assist under the direction of the RN, in implementing the established plan of care.
• Assist the physician and the RN during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Respond to emergency situations and manage response equipment.
• Set up procedures, maintain supplies/equipment, process and reprocess endoscopes as assigned.
• Float to other GI Lab locations and meet on-call criteria per department rules.
