Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a GI Tech to support RN-guided care, assist in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and ensure proper setup and reprocessing of endoscopes. The position requires readiness for on-call rotations and potentialFloat across GI Lab locations.

Candidate should have experience as a Patient Care Tech or Nursing/Medical Assistant, CPR BLS certification, and basic computer skills. On-site hours are 6:30am–5:30pm, Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

Experience as Patient Care Tech, Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant highly preferred.
CPR BLS issued by the American Heart Association.
Basic knowledge of physiology, anatomy & medical terminology.
Basic computer experience.
Ability to take vitals and perform CPR.

Responsibilities

Assist under the direction of the RN, in the implementation of the established plan of care.
Assist the physician and the RN during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Respond to emergency situations.
Responsible for procedure set-up, supply and equipment maintenance, processing and reprocessing of endoscopes and other duties as assigned.
Responsible for meeting on-call criteria as defined by the department. The employee is expected to float to other GI Lab locations.
