Job summary

Gastro Care Partners is seeking a compassionate Procedure Schedular to be the first contact for patients in Casper, WY. This full-time, in-person role focuses on welcoming patients from registration through scheduling and check-in.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare setting.
• Minimum of 1 year scheduling surgeries/procedures preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding; medical terminology preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Excel or other scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments per surgery and/or procedure orders.
• Communicates procedure information and patient instructions to patients/family.
• Coordinates with providers/physicians about scheduling and education materials.
• Sends physician orders for procedures to endoscopy and surgery centers.
• Schedules surgeries/procedures within surgical block times with hospitals.
• Ensures timeliness and accuracy of schedules; communicates delays/cancellations.
• Monitors physician requests and provides problem resolution when needed.
• Complies with HIPAA and organizational policies; maintains confidentiality.
• Assists with additional daily operational duties as assigned.
