Job summary

Gastroenterology of the Rockies is seeking a Patient Scheduler I in Louisville, CO. This full-time, non-exempt role handles a high volume of patient calls and schedules doctor visits and procedures, ensuring accurate demographics and documentation while explaining prep instructions with empathy and clarity.

Reporting to the Call Center Manager, the scheduler will maintain patient records, coordinate with the clinical team, and support efficient clinic operations with a focus on excellent patient

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Call Center experience preferred.
• 1–2 years’ experience as a patient scheduler (GI experience preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in a telephone environment.
• Ability to perform under pressure and maintain teamwork and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Answer patient calls to schedule doctor’s office visits and procedures.
• Explain prep instructions and confirm appointment details.
• Collect and update demographics, insurance, and medical history in the system.
• Coordinate with doctors/nurses to schedule patients and notify when unavailable.
• Refer self-pay patients to billing for payment arrangements and assist collections as needed.
• Follow recall procedures to remind patients of upcoming appointments and maintain patient notes.
