Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support attending physicians and the GI/endoscopy team. You will prepare procedural suites, assist during interventional procedures, and help manage equipment and supplies for timely cases.

You will provide direct patient care in admitting and recovery areas under supervision, with emphasis on safety, communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred in Biological/medical field.
• Medical Assistant Certificate preferred; 1–3 years related work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology; ability to operate technical/electronic equipment with accuracy.

Aufgaben

• Prepares procedural suites for GI and interventional procedures and supports physicians during procedures.
• Maintains equipment and supplies, ensures timely availability for cases, and assists with turnover of rooms.
• Provides direct patient care under supervision, checking vital signs, assisting with toileting, and monitoring recovery.
• Processes pathology specimens per established protocols and supports the GI Unit team with communications.
