Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. seeks an Medical Assistant to support front and clinical operations. You will greet patients, assist with check-in and scheduling, and perform clinical tasks such as vital signs, ECGs, and phlebotomy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 0-1 years related work experience is required.
• Basic familiarity with computers; navigate basic web-based applications.
• MA, EMT, CNA, LNA certificate or diploma or 5 months of direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs medical assisting duties: vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, routine procedures.
• Maintains clean, stocked patient care areas and escorts patients as needed.
• Review medication lists in EMR for licensed practitioner review.
• Performs point-of-care testing and ensures QC on testing equipment.
• Queues prescription renewals in EMR and documents tasks for billing.
