Job summary

West Florida Surgical Suites is seeking a GI Technician for per diem coverage. Under supervision of the Physician and RN, you will assist with GI/endoscopy procedures, set up, and provide patient care with emphasis on safety and learning needs.

Prior GI/Endoscopy experience is preferred and CPR certification is required or obtainable prior to hire. The role requires adapting to procedure needs, ensuring timely communication with the RN, and supporting emergency readiness in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• GI/Endoscopy experience preferred.
• Previous clinical experience in GI/Endoscopy procedure room preferred.
• Current certification in CPR or able to obtain prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse and according to center's policy and procedure.
• Efficiently and effectively assists physician with procedures.
• Anticipates physicians' needs both in preparing for procedure and during procedure.
• Reports the patient's planned outcomes to the Registered Nurse in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Demonstrates ability to respond to patient care and facility needs in an emergency situation.
• Initiates and implements basic CPR as appropriate.
• Demonstrates knowledge of responsibilities in emergency situations.
• Demonstrates ability to meet patient's and family's learning needs as identified in the plan of care.
• Demonstrates continued competence in treating and caring for individuals across age groups.
