Job summary

Gastromed,-LLC seeks a GI Endoscopy Technician to support the Endoscopy Center. You will prepare procedure rooms, assist with endoscopy equipment, and maintain a sterile, safe environment. The role requires teamwork with physicians and nurses, accurate documentation, and adherence to infection control policies.

The position emphasizes patient safety, proper handling of specimens, and efficient turnover between procedures, with opportunities to contribute to quality improvement and staff training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; required.
• Minimum of 1 year GI endoscopy experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare procedure rooms and equipment based on patient and procedural needs.
• Clean, organize, and properly handle instruments and equipment; sterilize as required.
• Follow infection-control procedures and use PPE as policy dictates.
• Assist with medication-related activities as permitted and directed; escort and transfer patients.
• Complete documentation in the medical record and maintain patient privacy.
