Job summary

GI Alliance is seeking an experienced Endoscopy Technician to assist the endoscopy team during procedures and provide care to meet patient outcomes.

The role includes preparing for procedures, assisting physicians, handling inventory, cleaning and disinfecting equipment, and maintaining safety and infection control standards. Two years of endoscopy experience and strong communication skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse and according to surgery center policy and procedure.
• Efficiently and effectively assists physician with procedures.
• Anticipates physicians needs both in preparing for procedure and during procedure.
• Reports the patient's planned outcomes to the Registered Nurse in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Demonstrates ability to respond to patient care and facility needs in an emergency situation.
• Initiates and implements basic CPR as appropriate.
• Demonstrates knowledge of responsibilities in all emergency situations.
• Implements the teaching plan as directed by the Registered Nurse.
• Maintains inventory and cleans/disinfects endoscopy equipment and rental equipment.
• Performs instrument processing with aseptic technique and proper PPE.
