Job summary

Montefiore Nyack Hospital is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to scrub on orthopedic, GI and endoscopic cases in the West Nyack Ambulatory Surgery Center. The role includes preparing instruments, assisting the surgeon, and maintaining a sterile environment across varied procedures.

Candidates must have a Surgical Technologist program credential (NBSTSA) with CST and BLS certifications, and 1–2 years of ambulatory OR experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (NBSTSA) with CST certification preferred.
• Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and ability to work under supervision.
• Experience in ambulatory OR and scrub tech for GI/endoscopy procedures is required.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on all cases at the Center, preparing supplies and maintaining sterile technique.
• Assist surgeon and team in instrument setup, turnover, and room readiness for procedures.
• Prepare for next day cases using surgeon preference cards and Central Sterile input.
• Follow infection control policies and AORN guidelines in the OR.
