Job summary

Montefiore Nyack Hospital is seeking an experienced Scrub Tech for the West Nyack Ambulatory Surgery Center. The role involves scrubbing on orthopedic, pain management, and local cases, preparing for procedures with the surgeon’s preference cards, and maintaining a sterile field throughout operations.

Responsibilities include assisting the sterile processing and turnover, supporting the surgical team, and ensuring patient safety and infection control according to AORN guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• NBSTSA certified Surgical Technologist required.
• 1–2 years ambulatory operating room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on all cases in the Ambulatory Surgery Center, including orthopedic, pain and local cases.
• Assist in preparation for procedures by ensuring supplies, soft goods, and instruments are ready.
• Function as surgeon's second assistant when needed and support OR turnover and sterile technique.
