Job summary

Chinese Hospital in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Gastroenterology/Endoscopy RN to provide safe nursing care for GI procedures. The role covers pre-procedure assessment, intra-procedure monitoring, sedation (where authorized), post-anesthesia recovery, education, and discharge planning.

Responsibilities include preparation, continuous monitoring, airway safety, recovery care, and close collaboration with gastroenterologists, anesthesia, and nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in California.
• GI/endoscopy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of moderate sedation
• Patient safety and post-procedure recovery expertise.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for EGD, colonoscopy and GI procedures.
• Monitor vitals and patient status during procedures.
• Assist and monitor during procedures; administer moderate sedation when allowed.
• Provide recovery care and discharge education.
• Perform circulatory and procedural-assist roles in GI/endoscopy.
