Banner Health's East Valley Gastroenterology clinic in Chandler is seeking a Healthcare Scheduler to manage patient appointments across GI locations. You will coordinate resources, authorizations, and insurance data, while delivering empathetic customer service and clear payment expectations.

The role requires 1+ year of customer service in healthcare, scheduling software experience, and strong communication skills to support patients, providers, and clinic operations within Banner Health.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 1+ year of customer service in healthcare preferred.
• Experience using scheduling software and EMR systems is highly desirable.
• Ability to type accurately and use common office software efficiently.

Responsabilités

• Schedule medical appointments across multiple GI locations and facilities.
• Coordinate resources, authorizations, and referrals per protocol.
• Obtain patient demographics, insurance data, and required documents.
• Provide pre/post-instruction information and payment expectations to patients.
• Communicate clearly with patients, providers, and staff via multiple channels.
• Process scanned documents and maintain accurate records in imaging systems.
• Collect pre-payments and verify insurance coverage where applicable.
• Support inbound/outbound communications across Banner Health facilities.
