Job summary

Veterans Health Administration, within the Coatesville VA Medical Center, seeks Nursing Assistants for the Geriatrics and Extended Care unit. Shifts may be evenings or days with weekends/holidays rotation. Recruitment incentives and relocation support may be authorized for eligible candidates.

The position emphasizes direct patient care, observation, and collaboration with nursing staff to support veteran well-being and recovery. Training and KSAs are required for progression to higher grades.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required per VA policy.
• Experience or Education or Training required for NA.
• GS-3 to GS-5 level with KSAs.
• Preferred: One year of Nursing Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care for veterans in Geriatrics and Extended Care.
• Makes observations of resident condition and reports changes to nurse.
• Documents care and resident responses on the chart or forms.
• Performs basic nursing procedures within scope and policy.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and supports therapy activities.
