Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Current licensure as an SLP in New York.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
• Implement and monitor therapeutic interventions to improve communication and swallowing.
• Document progress and communicate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, OTs, and PTs for holistic care.
• Provide education and training to residents, families, and staff.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and state/federal regulations.
