Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join a growing team within a luxurious post-acute environment. The PTA will perform treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and help drive patient-centered outcomes in long-term care settings.

Ideal candidates hold a Florida PTA license, have experience in geriatric or long-term care, and excel in documentation and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Florida PTA license/registration.
• Provide comprehensive treatment under supervision of Physical Therapist.
• LTC/geriatric experience preferred but not required.
• Proficient in documentation writing.
• Document patient progress on a weekly basis.
• Collaborate with all disciplines for patient-centered care.
• Excellent patient service and clinical excellence.
• Be punctual and professional and adhere to schedule.
• Compliance with HIPAA and Residents' Rights.
• Experience with Case Mix Index and PPS scheduling preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under PT supervision.
• Provide feedback to supervising PT via documentation or as required by policy.
• Maintain timely weekly progress notes and documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Adhere to confidentiality requirements and residents' rights.
• Report to work on schedule and maintain professionalism.
• Support Rehabilitation Director with assigned duties.
