Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join its team. Under supervision of the Physical Therapist, the PTA will provide treatment aligned with specific goals and document patient progress for weekly progress notes.

Ideal candidates will have a valid FL PTA license, experience in long-term or geriatric care, and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of FL.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care preferred.
• Documentation writing skills.
• Document patient progress with weekly notes in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide patient-centered treatment.
• HIPPA compliance and confidentiality.
• Experience with Case Mix Index and PPS scheduling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Provide treatment based on goals developed by the PT.
• Provide feedback to the supervising PT via documentation as required by facility policy.
• Perform all other duties assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.
