Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join its rehabilitation team. The PTA will perform treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and contribute to patient-centered care in a luxury short-term rehabilitation environment.

Candidates should hold a valid Florida PTA license, have experience in long-term or geriatric care preferred, and be proficient in documentation and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of FL
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under the supervision of the Physical Therapist
• Provide treatment by adhering to specific goals developed by the PT
• Provide feedback to the supervising physical therapist via documentation or in any other method required by facility policy
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care
• Document patient progress and weekly progress notes in a timely fashion
• Demonstrate professionalism and exceptional patient service
• Perform duties assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation
• Adhere to confidentiality, HIPPA, and residents rights
