Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team in a full-time role in Florida. The PTA will deliver treatment under the supervision of the Physical Therapist and help implement treatment plans for long-term residents and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid FL PTA license and registration.
• Provide comprehensive treatment under supervision of Physical Therapist.
• Experience in long-term care and/or geriatric care preferred.
• Strong documentation writing skills.
• Document progress notes weekly in a timely fashion.
• Collaborate with all disciplines for patient-centered care.
• Demonstrate professionalism and punctuality.
• Experience with Case Mix Index and PPS scheduling preferred.
• Compliance with HIPAA and Residents Rights.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PTA treatments under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Follow goals developed by the PT and document progress.
• Provide feedback to supervising PT via required documentation.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to deliver patient-centered care.
• Maintain professionalism and adhere to facility policies.
• Perform duties assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.
