Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
• Current and valid state licensure to practice independently as Psychologist (Ph.D./Psy.D.) or licensed professional counselor.
• Experience in geriatric or long-term care mental health preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills.

Responsibilities

• Be a trusted resource for residents: conduct psychological assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Provide meaningful therapy: individual counseling for depression, anxiety, grief, and cognitive changes using evidence-based techniques.
• Partner across disciplines: collaborate with physicians, nurses, and facility staff for integrated care.
• Support in times of need: respond to crises with immediate intervention.
• Ensure quality and compliance: maintain confidential records and follow state and federal guidelines.
• Embrace technology: navigate multiple electronic medical records with accuracy.
