Job summary

Curana Health is seeking a licensed mental health professional to provide individualized therapy for residents in long-term care. You will support dignity, quality of life, and meaningful connections through counseling and assessments.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to deliver integrated care, maintain compliant records, and address depression, anxiety, grief, and cognitive changes. Some travel to facilities is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
• Current and valid state licensure to practice independently as Psychologist (Ph.D/Psy.D.) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LISW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Experience in mental health, preferably geriatric or long-term care setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build rapport with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Be a trusted resource for residents through assessments and personalized treatment plans.
• Provide individual therapy for depression, anxiety, grief, adjustment disorders, and cognitive changes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and facility staff for integrated care.
• Respond to crises with immediate intervention and support.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records and follow ethical guidelines.
• Navigate electronic medical records with accuracy.
