Job summary

Curana Health seeks a licensed mental health professional to provide individualized therapy for seniors in long-term care communities. You will collaborate with care teams to maintain dignity and improve quality of life while delivering evidence-based counseling.

The role involves traveling to assigned facilities, leveraging EMR systems, and ensuring holistic, person-centered support for residents and their families.

Qualifications

• Masters or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
• Current and valid state licensure to practice independently as Psychologist (Ph.D/Psy.D.), LCSW/LISW, LMHC, LPC, or LMFT.
• Experience in geriatric or long-term care settings preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Be a trusted resource for residents: conduct assessments and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their needs.
• Provide individual therapy for depression, anxiety, grief, adjustment disorders, and cognitive changes using evidence-based techniques.
• Partner across disciplines: work with physicians, nurses, and facility staff for integrated care.
• Respond to emotional or psychological crises with immediate intervention and support.
• Ensure quality and compliance: maintain confidential records and follow ethical guidelines.
• Embrace technology: navigate electronic medical records accurately.
