Job summary

Deer Oaks Behavioral Health — Long-Term Care Clinical Services seeks a licensed psychologist to join an integrated clinical team onsite at one or more long-term care facilities. You will provide therapy, comprehensive assessments, care planning, and behavioral health support within a supportive administrative and clinical framework.

You will collaborate daily with nurses, social workers, physicians, and rehabilitation teams to optimize resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed psychologist in the appropriate state.
• Experience providing mental health care to older adults.
• Ability to work independently within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including diagnostic assessments and cognitive screenings.
• Provide individual psychotherapy tailored to older adults and those with complex medical conditions.
• Facilitate family therapy and caregiver support sessions; lead or co-lead group therapy.
• Provide behavioral management interventions to support residents, staff and families.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Manage caseload with clinical judgment and ethical standards.
