Job summary

Riverview Regional Medical Center, LLC in Gadsden, AL is seeking a Geriatric Psychiatric Registered Nurse for the night shift (7:00PM–7:00AM) to provide expert mental health care. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess patients, develop care plans, and promote recovery in an inpatient setting.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS at hire, and knowledge of mental health laws. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates, with standard benefits and

Qualifications

Must hold current and valid State RN license.
Current BLS certification at hire.
Knowledge of mental health laws and practice standards.
Experience with inpatient behavioral health units.
Familiarity with interdisciplinary treatment teams.

Responsibilities

Assess behavioral health patients and collaborate with care teams.
Demonstrate de-escalation skills and manage safety during restraints.
Prepare patients and families for safe discharge and continuum of care.
Perform initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of mental health.
Monitor vital signs and clinical indicators.
Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse effects.
Communicate with doctors, therapists, social workers to adapt care plans.
Document in Epic charting.
