Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Geriatric Psychiatry RN (Psych Acute) for Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL. The role covers night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) and offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

The RN will assess patients with mental health disorders, develop care plans, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and educate patients and families. Strong collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have current and valid State RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Knowledge of Mental Health laws and practice standards.
• Experience with inpatient behavioral health workflows and interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess behavioral health patients and collaborate with the care team on individual plans.
• Provide de-escalation and safety measures during crises and restraints as needed.
• Prepare patients and families for safe discharge and continued care.
• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients’ physical and mental health.
